“Gemma?” Complete

“Gemma?” was handed over in person by the executive producer to meet the deadline for Fastnet Film Festival yesterday.

What a super fast turnaround, I only decided I’d make it after receiving an email from Fastnet saying they had extended the deadline by a month on the 24th of February.

Heres a quick timeline of events

24th Feb: I made a few calls and sent a few emails, luckily Donogh MacCarthy-Morrogh liked the script and Stormlight would produce it.

Brian Fortune was cast in the lead role.

4th of March: Donogh met with Amanda Ferriter and she came on board as producer.

13th of March: I met with Amanda for the first time. The remainder of the cast were eh cast. Looked at some locations and finalised them.

Had issues with one location as couldn’t shoot in Park during the weekends. Alternative found.

20/21 March: Production begins.
22 March: Kevin Dwane and I begin edit
24 March: Picture lock
25 March: Picture grade and sound design begin
29 March: Conor Barron delivers sound design, Okayed and sent to UK for mastering.
30 March: Receive master and put all together. Result! Few technical issues mean we don’t make the evenings post.
31 March: Donogh delivers to Schull

Just goes to prove if you set deadlines and stick to them what you can achieve.
