Don Goode my great publicist was very busy down in Schull promoting my film until he found the bar and never came back out until Monday morning. It was at about noon on Thursday when he made his way into Hackett’s.

I happened to bump into him there on Saturday night where he pitched a new idea for a film. A sequel to My Ball no less.

“Hmm” I though. “I really hadn’t planned on revisiting that story, it’s finished.” I said to him.
“Ah but I’ve got a new angle to approach it with.” He started off. “Have you seen Paddy O’Shea’s The Sign?” he asked. “Had I seen it, I worked on it”

“Good you know what it’s about, how about My Ball meets The Sign. They are all at this crossover business, take Alien and Predator for example.”

“Yeah, but My Ball and The Sign are two completely different films, that will never work.” I told him.” I went and bought Don a pint and managed sneak away from him.

Later on Sunday night I got a call from Don. “Great news Kev, Paddy O’Shea has picked up an award.” “I know I’m standing right next him.” I replied. “Brilliant. I can see it now, two award winning filmmakers coming together to make greatest film ever made.” “Go to bed Don.”

Before I hung up I heard. “Can I speak to Paddy, can I have his number? I want to represent him.”
