The Don payed me a visit

So I was sitting at my desk in my super flashy office when my good publicist Don Goode called round to say hello, he’s nice that way.

I was working on my super duper new script but didn’t mind the break. I always make time for Don.

He asked me had I any news? “As it happens I do, I won a national basketball competition on Sunday.” I said
“All on your own” he asked.
“Ah no, there were a few others playing too.”

Don then reached into his pocket and took out his notebook.

“This could be great news. Award winning filmmakers also a national champion sports star.” He said as he wrote into his pad. “You score much?”

“Only a couple of three pointers here and there, oh and the match winning point in the final with only seconds to go” I replied.

“This is brilliant, I mean who would think you would make a good basketball player.”
“What do mean by that?” I asked.
“I mean like the size of ya.”
“What?”
“You are not all that tall.”
“You don’t need to be that tall, though I’m no 6’10 centre.”
“No, never mind anyway, what was the competition?”
“Macra na Feirme National Final.”
“What?”
“Macra, you know that rural youth organisation.”
“Oh, yeah. Hmm, maybe it would be best if we don’t publicise this.”
“Why not?”
“Well, you know it might not be best for your reputation.”
“So we forget it ever happened?”
“I think it would be for the best”
